Application of the DEA Model in Tourism SMEs: An Empirical Study from Slovakia in the Context of Business Sustainability

Slovak spa services are not given sufficient attention directly following the support and sustainable development. The paper focuses on evaluation of overall development current level efficiency spas in 2013–2018, through application DEA models. Input variables (total number beds, employees, medical staff) output (use bed capacity, treated clients) within structure models analyzed (CCR-I, CCR-O, BCC-I, BCC-O) determined by results correlation analysis. data were obtained from annual reports enterprises. By results, average score for all enterprises reached 0.7527, i.e., enterprise would need only 75.27% currently used inputs a production to move frontier. confirmed positive growing trend until 2015; however, decreased 1.84% year-to-year comparison 2016–2018.
